Visionary artist David Mach has made extraordinary objects from bricks, coathangers, automobile tires, postcards, publications and matchsticks, among other things, since his first exhibition in the UK in 1982. Today, refining his focus on the intersection of high art and popular culture, he pays homage to classical forms and to visual, musical and dramatic artists in two and three dimensions, employing playing cards, plastic ball pins, paint and his unique gift to create exceptional sculptures and collages that are immediately accessible and endlessly compelling.
